Tom. 98%\n\nWe’re continuing with another Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous) film. This 1989 film is much more than an average teenage romance. High school senior John Cusak(a well-liked optimist with no future plans) asks out the beautiful valedictorian Ione Skye and\, to everyone’s surprise\, she says yes. Heralded as a really well-written script (Cameron Crowe — Jerry Maguire\, Vanilla Sky)\, with extraordinary acting\, particularly by John Mahoney as the father. If the film ever seems sophomoric\, stick with it. The dialog’s amazing.
