One of the most notable among these is Foundry Park\, a 31 acre river front site in west Lincoln Park led by JDL Construction that will include 2\,656 units and 3.5 million square feet across 12 buildings\, 3 adaptive-reuse projects\, 1 timber loft\, and 8 high-rise residential projects. Join Curious Village to learn about Foundry Park and other large scale developments in Chicago with a speaker from JDL Construction. Why does it take so long for a project like Foundry Park to get off the ground?  What are the bottlenecks?  What can the city do to speed things up?  How do they decide to buy a large amount of land\, and then decide what to do with it?  These questions and more will be discussed at the next Curious Village meeting on Wednesday\, August 12. \n
