Reading the Rainbow is a bi-monthly book discussion group featuring a lively conversation of LGBTQ+ texts. For Pride Month, we’re reading “The Prophets” by Robert Jones, Jr. This award winning historical novel tells the story of the love between two young enslaved men on a Southern plantation. Written in a lyrical style, it explores the incredible hardships and resilience of people often ignored in historical accounts. Join us to discuss this acclaimed novel for Pride Month! People of all identities, including Allies, are welcome. “The Prophets” is available in paperback, kindle, and audiobook forms.
