The Climate Crisis and How You Can Help Solve It

Sunday, July 15, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Members–$5 & guests–$8. To register, click here or call the Village office at 773.248.8700.

Come hear Cynthia Linton, a volunteer speaker trained by Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project to give an updated version of his slide show, made famous in An Inconvenient Truth. Linton, a retired journalist and college instructor, was inspired to get involved in the climate issue by concern for what life could be like for her grandchildren in the decades to come. She will talk about the basics of climate change, how its impacts are already being felt, and ways that we can make a difference. After, join in a reception with environmental groups including the Climate Reality Project, Sierra Club, Citizens Utility Board, and Citizens Climate Lobby—and be part of a movement to spark lasting change.
