In this new monthly series, Village members lead walking tours of neighborhoods around the city. In August, Director of Programs & Communications Claire DiVizio leads a tour of the most ethnically diverse neighborhood of the Far North Side: Rogers Park!
The neighborhood that forms the Northern border of the city is where former President Barack Obama kicked off his very first Senate campaign, and is reported to be the city’s best neighborhood for quality of life. Expansive murals along the Glenwood Ave viaduct, incredible historic homes near the lake, and a cornucopia of ethnic restaurants from all over the world make Rogers Park a unique Chicago experience.
The tour will conclude with lunch at a local restaurant. Check back here to see the list of landmarks and lunch location!
