Members only–free. This is an ongoing group where the same members meet monthly for discussion via Zoom. To RSVP to join, please scroll down.
This ongoing Village discussion group meets on the first Wednesday of each month to discuss a selection of short readings from an anthology published by The Great Books Foundation. Each anthology contains a complete play or short novel, short stories, essays, poems, and excerpts from longer works. When the group finishes discussing all the readings in one book, it selects another from the Great Books catalog. Most readings are thirty-plus pages in length.
The reading for February is “Knowledge and Philosophy” by Bertrand Russell, included in Great Conversations 5 (click here to order).
This discussion group is now in it’s eleventh year, but new members are encouraged to join! The readings are short and stimulating, the conversations are lively, and the group is very welcoming to new participants.
