The LGBTA Committee of the Village has scheduled two more book discussions. The next discussion will take place on Wednesday, April 7 at 4:00 PM. The book to be discussed is The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith. The book was originally published in 1952 under a pseudonym. It was re-published in 1990 with the title Carol under Highsmith’s name.
The next book discussion is scheduled for June 2 at 4:00 PM at which time we will discuss John Rechy’s City of Night which was first published in 1963.
The LGBTA Committee’s programs are open to all Village members. The book discussions provide an opportunity to discuss issues relevant to the experiences of LGBTA people in a non-judgemental setting. The books selected for discussion focus on the lives of members of the LGBT community and the ways they have been depicted in literature. The discussions will be hosted by Peggy Walker and led by Bill Gordon.
