Join us and guest speaker Monica Long to learn how to increase ease of movement and flexibility through exercise, avoid harmful falls, and stay physically active at any age or ability.
About Monica Long
Monica Long is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). Monica currently works as a Clinical Research Nurse Educator with the Share Network’s Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) at UChicago Medicine. Monica currently serves on the NAGE and Chicago Hyde Park Village Board of Directors to advocate for older adult health initiatives. She has created Geriatric and Dementia curriculum to expound on evidence-based practices, transform clinical environments and has also educated community members with a goal to improve the care for older adults and empower them to maintain healthy lifestyles.
Hosted by the SHARE Network (Supporting Healthy Aging Resources & Education), this event is part of a newly developed course of healthy aging education called the 4Ms Forum. The series is split up into four main topics that are central to healthy aging–Medication, Mobility, Mentation, What Matters.

- For in-person programs, The Village Chicago aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation. When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
