Fall Members’ Potluck with Urban Wildlife Institute
Wednesday, November 16, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Join us for great food with your Village friends and neighbors at this annual potluck celebration and intellectual fare. We think of wildlife as exotic species, living in faraway pockets of pristine nature. But increasingly cities are also a place for wildlife, and not just the familiar neighbors like squirrels and pigeons. Coyotes, foxes, night herons and more are thriving in Chicago and other urban centers around the world. Seth Magle will share research from the Lincoln Park Zoo’s Urban Wildlife Institute, a scientific institute committed to helping humans and wildlife coexist in cities. Come learn more about the biodiversity in your own backyard–and ways you can be involved.
Space is limited. Call the Village office to reserve your spot and the dish that you will bring.
We will be accepting donations for the Lakeview Pantry. Most needed items are: canned soup (including low sodium), meat ravioli sauce, shelf stable juice, coffee, shampoo.
