Reeling Film Festival: Upstairs Inferno

Members and guests are invited to attend this festival, the country’s second oldest LGBTQIA film festival. This documentary recounts the mass killing of 32 people by arson at the New Orleans’ UpStairs Lounge in 1973-a horrific hate crime that received little attention and sympathy due to the homophobia of its time. The Village’s LGBTQA Task Force is also planning several events in October, including a film series with Silver Screenings in Oct, Nov, and Dec.
