Safely Getting Up and Down From the Floor

Members & guests–$10 (click here to register). The day before the live virtual tutorial, a confirmation email will be sent to registered attendees with additional details to join via Zoom.

Do you live alone or worry about what might happen if you fall while you’re alone? Do you have trouble getting up and down from the floor or have you stopped doing it due to a physical issue or because you’re worried that you won’t be able to get back up?

Come learn about how to make yourself stronger and safer. Learn about reducing your fall risk as well as multiple options for getting up and down from the floor. Feel free to participate in the exercises or to just watch and learn. Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in easily and supportive shoes that are well secured onto your feet.

About Jill Stein
This tutorial will be led by Jill Stein, veteran personal trainer and group exercise instructor. Jill also leads a weekly virtual exercise class for the Village on Tuesdays (see the classes here on the web calendar).

  • For in-person programs, The Village Chicago aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation.  When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
