The second of a two part series presented by Lincoln Park Village, Gerber/Hart Library, Howard Brown Health, and Lake View Presbyterian Church. Picking up on the key points of lecture on October 11, four panelists will discuss their experiences living in the 50s and 60s. The four panelists are members of the LGBTQ community: Bill Gordon representing Gay men, Village member and retired Executive Director of the American Library Association; Martha Smith representing Lesbians, (Center on Halsted Senior Voice member), former Allied Medical Professional; David Matteson representing Bi-Sexual individuals, Professor Emeritus from Governors State University; Gloria Allen representing Trans individuals (Center on Halsted Senior Voice member), currently working with trans youth at the Center on Halsted, and whose life was the subject of a play produced by Steppenwolf’s Garage Theater (2012) called “Charm.”
