Village member and speaker Torry Duffy delves into the history behind the transistor, the birth of Texas Instruments and the Texas research corridor. The start and growth of semiconductors, and company names familiar today. How R&D for industry, NASA and Defense created the perfect environment for all of us to succeed. Turning to the work leading microprocessors and a true every persons computer, the incredibly rapid acceptance of the internet, hand held phones and so much more.

- For virtual programs, links will be sent to registered attendees via email the day before the event.
- For in-person programs, The Village Chicago aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation.
