Tiny Theatre Presents: Sunday Evening

Sunday, February 9, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Members–$20 & guests–$24. Registration deadline: January 26. To register, please click here or call the Village office at 773.248.8700.

Making its English language debut, Bulgarian playwright Zachary Karabashliev’s Sunday Evening intertwines and juxtaposes the illusion of the American Dream with the reality of everyday existence, following two families, lost in deep conflict, misunderstandings, and personal betrayal. After the play, attendees are invited to join a self-hosted dinner at the Thai Restaurant Simply It.

What is Tiny Theatre?
Started in 2011 by Village members and theatre enthusiasts Bobbe Wolf and Myrna Knepler, Tiny Theatre offers members and their guests the opportunity to see unique plays in smaller venues of less than 250 seats. By focusing on venues like Chicago’s storefront and church theatres, audiences have the opportunity to see new and exciting work that may expand their horizons with unusual and unexpected offerings. Members are then invited to enjoy a self-hosted dinner after the play, discussing the work and catching up with friends new and old. Tiny Theatre takes place every other month, and the plays continue to be selected and organized by Tiny Theatre ambassador, Bobbe Wolf.
Please note: every venue that is selected for Tiny Theatre offers accessible seating. If needed, be sure to indicate your request for accessible seating when purchasing your tickets.
