DESCRIPTION:Members & guests–free \nEvery Saturday afternoon\, join fellow film aficionados of the Village for an in-depth organic discussion of films new and old. Watch the selected film any time–or enjoy the discussion and be persuaded to view it after! \nThis week the group is watching Oh. What. Fun. 2025\, 118min\, Free on Amazon (sans commercials)\n\nMichelle Pfieffer (Claire\, still looking fabulous) is the ultimate Christmas mom\, but no one appreciates her … at least not as much as she wants them to. Her 3 kids visit every year\, all with their own issues\, and the Asian-American family across the street seems to do Christmas better than Claire.  The film has a lot of fun\, a little drama\, and a LOT of Christmas to put us in the mood. If you’re on the fence about decorating for Xmas\, this movie may sway you.

DESCRIPTION:Members & guests–free \nAvailable to rent for $3.99 on Amazon Prime \nEvery Saturday afternoon\, join fellow film aficionados of the Village for an in-depth organic discussion of films new and old.  Watch the selected film any time–or enjoy the discussion and be persuaded to view it after! \nLooking for Mr. Goodbar: 1977\, 136min\, R.T. 61%  Available on Amazon & others. Sorry Manhattan lovers\, but the fim is pretty politically incorrect with Woody Allen dating a 17-year old. Let’s not promote it.\n\nStill celebrating Diane Keaton. By day\, Theresa (Keaton) teaches deaf children. By night\, she hangs out in bars and meets men. A gritty look at the 1970s’ bar scene. Is it accurate? Several critics thought Keaton should have received her Oscar for this film instead of Annie Hall\, which came out the same year (and is now in AMC theaters). Two very different characters. Also with Tuesday Wells (Oscar nominated)\, Richard Gere\, & Tom Berring

DESCRIPTION:Members & guests–free \nAvailable to rent for $5.99 on Amazon \n\nEvery Saturday afternoon\, join fellow film aficionados of the Village for an in-depth organic discussion of films new and old. Watch the selected film any time–or enjoy the discussion and be persuaded to view it after! \n\nThis week’s movie is: The Life of Chuck: 2025\, 1hr 50min\, R.T. 80%\n\nFrom the Stephen King short story of the same name\, the film tells the story of Chuck’s life in three parts: the very end; one day in the middle; and a stint from his teenage years. His life\, like most of ours\, is simple and extraordinary. A line from Walt Whitman’s Song of Myself–“I contain multitudes” (stanza 51)–is repeated several times. Film critics’ most used word describing the film is “magical.” Do you agree? Don’t be afraid to watch it again when you’re done.
