June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. Tune into this virtual program, led by a representative of the Alzheimer’s Association, which will provide education to help you recognize common signs of the Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias in yourself and others and the next steps to take, including how to talk to your doctor.

About the presenter: Max Bakk (they/them) provides educational programming through the Alzheimer’s Association. They are passionate about offering down-to-earth education that empowers individuals to better understand dementia and build compassionate care skills. Max works directly with families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias, offering personalized support tailored to each individual’s needs. As a practicing visual artist, Max brings creativity, empathy, and a deep appreciation for non-verbal communication to their programs. They are committed to building more dementia-friendly communities through education, outreach, and art.
