Men’s Group Tour of The Underground Railroad

Please note, cars will now depart from the Village at 11 AM, not 10 AM as originally announced.

Location: Carpool meets at the Village office (2502 N Clark St)
Driving around one hour to 744 E 134th Place, Chicago, near Dolton.

Join the Men’s Group for this special outing. The tour will include a safe house, the African American Water Trail, and more. The group will also ride on a pontoon boat (10 person minimum required).

Alternatively, people who want to kayak for up to 3 miles each way can rent kayaks.

Important information: The $40 charge applies only to those who wish to ride the pontoon boat.  Anyone who wants to paddle a rental kayak does not have to pay the $40 as kayak rentals are paid separately.  Please email [email protected] to reserve your spot if you are kayaking, as you do not need to fill out the payment form.

We are still awaiting word from the organizer as to what the charge for renting kayaks is, and what the food costs. We will update you with that information as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The price of $40 not including the Caribbean Cuisine, chef prepared meal which is self-hosted and paid for on site.

Carpooling is suggested and will be arranged for this event.
