Community Care in Action: Preparing Meals for the Hungry
Location: The Village Office (2502 N Clark)
Join Us to Help Feed the Homeless on November 20th!
We’re calling on Village members to come together for a special effort to support those less fortunate in our community. On Wednesday, November 20th, from 11 AM – 1 PM, we will be gathering at the office to assemble 100 bag lunches, which will be delivered to Fourth Presbyterian Church for distribution to the homeless in and around Lincoln Park.
How You Can Help:
1. Join us in person to help prepare the lunches.
2. Donate any portion of the needed items if you’re unable to attend. We are looking for:
- 10 loaves of wheat bread
- 3 lbs of turkey, ham, and roast beef
- 3 lbs of American cheese
- Mayonnaise and mustard
- Boxes of assorted salty snacks (chips, Doritos, etc.)
- Applesauce, jello, pudding cups, fruit snacks
- Assorted single packages of cookies or granola bars
- Plastic sandwich bags
Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference! Let’s come together to lend a helping hand, whether by donating, volunteering, or both.
