Sally Field plays a widow who cleans at night at the local aquarium. She forms unlikely bonds with Marcellus, an octopus (voiced by Alfred Molina), and with a wayward young man (Lewis Pullman) who came to town searching for someone who owes him money. Together, they uncover a mystery that will lead them to a life-changing discovery and restore their sense of wonder.
