Immensely enjoyable coming of age film set in 1973. It follows teenage William as he writes a Rolling Stone article on the band Stillwater. Cameron Crowe wrote and directed and it’s about him as a teenager writing an article on Lynard Skinner. If you like the early 70s and great filmmaking, you’ll love this move. A real joy. Roger Ebert put it at #1 for 2000. Nominated for several Oscars, including best supporting actress for Kate Hudson (her breakout role) and Frnaces McDormand, and it won for best original screenplay. An audience favorite at EbertFest.
