Infected for Science joins together Sydney Halpern’s deeply researched narrative, Trygve Faste’s skillful comic art, and grimly humorous cartoons Miller himself sketched. The remarkable story follows the draft objectors through grueling medical procedures and the looming fear of serious illness. What emerges is a gripping, previously hidden history, a portrait of moral courage, and questions about the ethics and human costs of dangerous medical experiments.
