Join us for this special presentation by Village Intern Banjo Ebunoluwa Idowu.
Aging is often viewed through negative stereotypes like being forgetful, slow or less capable and those beliefs can lead to loneliness, forgetful, low self-esteem, and age-based discrimination. But aging doesn’t have to be this way. Through activities like Brain spa and meaningful conversations with older adults, I’ve seen how staying mentally active and social connected can change the story. This project explores the effects of these harmful ideas and shares ways we can support aging with dignity, purpose and respect.
