A real Pain (2024) available on Amazon for $6.99 to rent and $7.99 to buy.

Every Saturday afternoon, join fellow film aficionados of the Village for an in-depth discussion of films new and old, led by Village member Mel Washburn. Watch the selected film any time–or enjoy the discussion and be persuaded to view it after!

This week’s film is A real Pain (2024). Mismatched cousins reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother, but their old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin play cousins visiting Auschwitz and the Polish town where their grandmother lived. Eisenberg wrote and directed. Culkin is winning most every acting award and is the frontrunner for this Sun’s Oscars.
