Nominated for nine Oscars (best pic, director, screenplay, foreign language film, and 4 acting awards), this Norwegian film is about two sisters (Renate Reinsve & Inga Lilleas) reuniting with their estranged father (Stellan Skarsgard (Good Will Hunting)), a once-renowned director who offers his actress daughter a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. When she refuses, he gives her part to an eager young Hollywood star (Elle Fanning). The two sisters must then navigate their complicated relationship with their father and an American star who’s now in the mix.
