Lunch: 12:00pm, North & Clark Cafe, located inside the Museum
The Chicago History Museum has been collecting garments for nearly a century, likely one of the largest collections of any museum in the world. In this exhibit the oldest garment dates from the 1770’s while the most recent dates to last year. Our museum docent will guide us as we view men’s and women’s clothing created by designers such as Dior, Chanel, Versace as well as lesser-known phenoms. Lots of Chicago history here. You don’t have to be a fashionista to enjoy the show. The self-hosted lunch follows the tour.
