About our Presenters

Annette Mileski has been practicing the art of storytelling for over 30 years, and has facilitated workshops, and retreats as well as taught an undergraduate storytelling class for her alma mater, Aquinas College. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications, a master’s degree in ministry and a certificate of theology. Before moving to Chicago in 2022, Annette was a high school English teacher and hospice volunteer caregiver. She now serves as the director of the Center for Life and Learning at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago, and is celebrating the birth of her first grandchild.

Brooke Nanni is a social service and public health professional who is (in her words!) who currently serves as the Brain Health & Memory Loss Program Manager at the Village Chicago. Brooke obtained undergraduate degrees in psychology and speech pathology, then in 2016 earned a graduate degree in public health. She started her career in the intellectual disabilities field, and began working with older adults within a senior living community, and from there went into legal guardianship/program management. Most recently, Brooke has been with the Alzheimer’s Association as part of a lifestyle intervention research study which aims to protect brain health in older adults. She is looking forward to finding ways to apply her experience to help establish better brain health and to navigate cognitive changes.

Special thanks to Village annual sponsor Belmont Village for hosting this event and to our partner CLL for co-hosting!
