This month the group will be watching Sullivan’s Travels starring Joel McCrea and Veronica Lake (1941) written and directed by Preston Sturges. An idealistic and successful comedy movie director, John L. Sullivan (Joel McCrea) longing to make a socially relevant drama, sets out to live as a tramp to gain life experience.
