If Ninotchka or Captain Blood or Random Harvest are among your favorite films, you’ll be right at home! In addition to discussing the films, we will also talk about the scores and the wonderful composers of the era.

This month’s film is The Public Enemy (1931).The feature film for May is The Public Enemy (1931). In this film, Two young Chicagoans, Tom Powers (James Cagney) and Matt Doyle (Eddie Woods), rise up from their poverty-stricken slum life to become petty thieves, bootleggers and cold-blooded killers. But with street notoriety and newfound wealth, the duo feels the heat from the cops and rival gangsters both.
