Health Hub: SuperAgers

Thursday, June 6 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Members & guests- free! RSVP below to register, program is held via Zoom.

In June, Health Hub tackles the topic of SuperAgers- people who are over the age of 80 and who perform as well as people decades younger in tests of cognition. Northwestern University started a SuperAger program in 2001, which is ongoing. Join this session to learn more about SuperAgers, what the research has shown us to date, and to chat about ways we could incorporate positive lifestyle changes into our daily routines.

Health Hub is a monthly program designed for people who care about their health as well as the research behind different topics, and chatting with others who share that sentiment. Sessions aim to balance information and discussion. Feel free to bring articles you’ve found on the topic of Super Agers to chat with the group about, or any prospective ‘fake news’ you’ve found for the group to debunk. You don’t need to have attended previous sessions to join the chat, hope to see you there.

About the presenter: Brooke Nanni oversees the brain health and memory loss program at The Village Chicago. She is a social service and public health professional who has obtained undergraduate degrees in psychology and speech pathology as well as a graduate degree in public health.
