Kayaking Trip

FreeMembers & guests – Kayak for 90 minutes: $25/hr plus $5 each extra 15min.
Tandem Kayaks for 2 persons, $35/hr. Pay on return of kayaks.
12PM lunch at Dapper Dan’s; self-hosted
Where: Chicago River Canoe & Kayak; 3400 N Rockwell. Access by
CTA Addison bus or by car to Rockwell. Free street and lot parking.
From Village member Carol Hitchie: “Come kayak on one of the prettiest stretches of the Chicago River! Quiet tree lined waters are home to nesting wildlife, a hidden gem of quiet and tranquility. The calm waters are good for the beginner as
well as expert kayakers. Jim Madsen, a lifelong kayaker and Village member, will accompany the
group for those that want instruction or tips.”

- For virtual programs, links will be sent to registered attendees via email the day before the event.
- For in-person programs, The Village Chicago aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation.
