For the first session, we will be reading Ocean Vuong’s On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous. This award-winning novel is written as a letter by a young Vietnamese-American man to his mother, and explores their fraught relationship and the complications of race, class, and masculinity in American culture with unerringly beautiful prose.
