Reading the Rainbow
Wednesday, April 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pmFree
Join host Callie Alton for a monthly virtual discussion on contemporary and classic works of LGBTA fiction and nonfiction. This is an inclusive space where all are welcome to learn more about the LGBTA experience, share their thoughts, and read great books!
For the first session, we will be reading Ocean Vuong’s On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous. This award-winning novel is written as a letter by a young Vietnamese-American man to his mother, and explores their fraught relationship and the complications of race, class, and masculinity in American culture with unerringly beautiful prose. Please join us to discuss what has been called the most important debut novel of recent years!
