Do you want to join an active group of older adults who examine a variety of interesting topics and explore them in a roundtable-like conversation each week?
As described by our speaker Angela, “OLLI has given me the opportunity to learn new things that I never had time for during my college years, to stay intellectually stimulated and to make new friends. I strongly recommend it as a wonderful resource in our community.”
OLLI does not have entrance requirements. It does not have exams. It is open to everyone and is targeted for adults 50 years and older. It is priced for affordability and scholarships are also available. OLLI is a welcoming community. It is a great match for people who are curious, open to learning, willing to participate in conversations, and open to making new friends.
About our presenter: Angela D’Aversa has been an OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning) Member at Northwestern University for 14 years. Angela is currently Campus Chairperson of Chicago Campus, and has recently been active on several leadership committees.
As a member driven organization, this means that Angela works with the OLLI Director, her counterpart in Evanston and the Chairs of various campus committees. These committees work to organize and lead activities which facilitate and strengthen OLLI as a program.
Angela was introduced to OLLI by a neighbor at the time of her retirement after 30 + years in business as a senior Human Resources executive.
