In honor of Lesbian Visibility Week, the group will be reading British writer Jeanette Winterson’s Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, winner of the Whitbread Award for First Fiction in 1985This humorous, coming-of-age tale centers a young woman growing up in an English Pentecostal community as she navigates the complexities of identity, faith, and family. People of all ages and identities (including Allies) are welcome!
The novel can be purchased in paperbackaudiobook, or kindle. It can also be reserved at the library here.
