Join us for a virtual session about brain plasticity. We will review the basics of what brain plasticity is, learn what we can do in our day to day lives to help encourage brain plasticity, and discuss habits that may be detrimental to our highly plastic minds. If you are interested in learning more about how our brain rewires itself, or about brain health in general- this is a session for you!
About our presenter:
Brooke Nanni, MPH, is the Brain Health & Memory Loss Program Manager at the Village Chicago. Brooke obtained undergraduate degrees in psychology and speech pathology, then in 2016 earned a graduate degree in public health. She started her career in the intellectual disabilities field, and began working with older adults within a senior living community, and from there went into legal guardianship/program management. Most recently, Brooke has been with the Alzheimer’s Association as part of a lifestyle intervention research study which aims to protect brain health in older adults. She is looking forward to finding ways to apply her experience to help establish better brain health and to navigate cognitive changes.
