This ongoing Village discussion group meets online the first Wednesday of each month to discuss a selection of short readings from an anthology published by The Great Books Foundation. In 2023, we will have been reading selections in “Counterparts” from the Great Books Foundation. The readings are short and stimulating, the conversations are lively, and the group is very welcoming to new participants.
However, this month we will exhaust the readings in Counterparts! Come join us to discuss the last pair (listed below) AND to discuss what to read next! All are welcome, including new and returning members, to join the discussion and choose our next volume.
For November, the group will read the selections on “Death”: “The Immoderation of Ifat” by Sara Suleri and “Now We Are Five” by David Sedaris.
